The student will engage in an interprofessional team experience under the direction of the agency preceptor which may include any of the following experiences:

 

• Participate in an interprofessional meeting or conference.
• Assist in the development of an interprofessional plan of care.
• Participate on an interprofessional task force or committee directed at a solving a clinical issue, providing evidence-based care, or implementing and/or evaluating a change in practice.
• Participate in an interprofessional program or project designed to improve care, change practice, and/or provide education.

Submit a paper that 4 pages excluding title and reference pages.  The paper should follow APA 7^th edition guidelines and follow the writing rubric as provided in the Course Resource section of the course.

Include the following information:

1. Describe the type of team (primary work team, leadership team, or ad hoc team) and the purpose of the interprofessional team experience in which you             participated.

 

1. Identify the membership of the team. What was the role of each discipline on the interprofessional team?

 

1. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of using an interprofessional team to             accomplish the group’s objective.
