There is an increase in eating disorders prevalence in the modern world. According to Latzer, Spivak-Lavi, and Katz (2015), eating disorders usually present at the adolescent’s age or early childhood. Recently, this disorder has been recognized as among the most prevalent conditions facing young adults and female adolescents. Latzer, Spivak-Lavi, and Katz (2015) point out that common eating disorders include bulimia nervosa (BN), anorexia nervosa (AN), binge eating disorder (BED) and other unspecified eating conditions that as stipulated in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Considering the statistical information on these conditions, Latzer, Spivak-Lavi, and Katz (2015) are of the opinion that although all the above-mentioned conditions occur among both males and females, prevalence is higher in females as men account for 5-10% of the total patients. This paper, therefore, evaluates the eating disorders among adolescent girls in line with their development stage and based on the psychological position.
