Pro and Con of Legalizing Marijuana

`A debate over the use and legalization of marijuana continue to escalate in the United States. Although federal law still prohibits its use in many states, there is extensive evidence that highlights the medical benefits of marijuana. On the other hand, a researcher holds that legalizing marijuana would increase the risk of adolescents misuse and overdose of the substance. Despite all the cons of legalizing and using marijuana, there are fewer health threats to preclude its legalization. The discussion between the legal validity of marijuana and its medicinal purposes leads to an argument that cannabis has more harm than benefits.
