Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs/APNs) include clinical nurse specialists (CNS) nurse practitioners (NPs), nurse midwives, and nurse anesthetists who have central roles in enhancing the future of healthcare practice (National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s (NCSBN), 2021).
