Your textbook and lesson are not considered to be an outside scholarly source. For the discussions and reflection posts, reputable internet sources such as websites by government agencies (URL ends in .gov) and respected organizations (often ends in .org) can be counted as scholarly sources. The best outside scholarly source to use is a peer-reviewed nursing journal.  You are encouraged to use the Chamberlain library and search one of the available data bases for a peer-reviewed journal article. With the advancement of technology in the last couple of years, informatics has increasingly become popular in the field of nursing.  As such, healthcare systems are increasingly assimilating technology into their daily activities at an unprecedented level. Alexander (2019) denotes that nursing informatics is a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer, and information science to manage as well as communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice.  The use of informatics in nursing has, therefore, grown rapidly with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of patient care.
