With the advancement of technology in the last couple of years, informatics has increasingly become popular in the field of nursing. As such, healthcare systems are increasingly assimilating technology into their daily activities at an unprecedented level. Alexander (2019) denotes that nursing informatics is a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer, and information science to manage as well as communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. The use of informatics in nursing has, therefore, grown rapidly with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of patient care.
