Note: The purpose of the MSN project proposal is to translate evidence currently found in the literature into practice within the chosen specialty track. Due to the research complexity, time involvement, and implications regarding human subjects, drug studies are not acceptable areas of interest for a MSN project.
Purpose
The process for affecting positive change to improve practice outcomes can start with either the identification of an area of interest or the identification of a potential or existing practice problem. Solution:

Evidence-based practice in nursing practice and profession plays a pivotal role.  According to Boswell and Cannon (2018), evidence-based practice is a patient centered approach that is based on independent scientific research, patient experiences, as well as clinical expertise.  Nurses and other medical practitioners utilize this approach by considering recent healthcare research when it comes to determining the course of action.  The primary goal of evidence-based practice as argued by Gillam and Siriwardena (2014) is to standardize and improve access to quality care.  Therefore, with the implementation of evidence-based practices, master’s prepared nurses can lead to improved patient outcomes and lower costs of care. It can also help the nurses in developing superior nursing skills including critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Although there exists a myriad of models used in developing evidence-based projects, one of the most prominent is the Ace Star Model of Knowledge Transformation (Boswell & Cannon, 2018).  The Ace Star Model plays a profound role in providing an inclusive framework for organizing evidence-based processes as well as approaches.  The model comprises of five stages that need to be put into account during implementation of evidence-based practices. These are knowledge discovery, evidence summary, translation into practice recommendations, implementation into practice, and evaluation…..please click the icon below to purchase full solution at $10
