Both qualitative study and quantitative study are commonly used in nursing research either singularly or in combination (mixed study). While qualitative research entails the collection and analysis of non-numerical data through direct interactions with participants, quantitative research entails the collection and analysis of numerical data through statistical approaches (Bryman, 2017).
