Teen depression leading to suicide has sustained insufficient recognition and reaction from the local, national and international health structures as well as from medical professionals, the governments, the researchers and the pharmaceuticals (do Nascimento, Ambrósio, Soares, Gonçalves, Marinho, & da Silva, 2018) Further, the traditional stereotype of teen suicide as a consequent of bad parenting, attention seeking and substance abuse render the patients afraid of seeking medical attention and as such, are left undiagnosed and untreated. There are many factors that result to depressions such as genetic attributes, bipolar disorder amongst other that need timely medical intervention to mitigate the adverse impacts to the patients (Hausmann-Stabile, Gulbas, & Zayas, 2018). Many health organizations, stakeholders and governments have turned a blind eye to teen depressions and are reluctant to enabling the research for evidence based intervention to facilitate the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of teen depressions.
