Family Health Assessment

Family-centered care has significantly evolved over the years. Still, it remains to be a highly effective system-wide approach to healthcare. It is founded on the understanding that families act as a primary source of health care, education, and nurturance (Kaakinen et al., 2018). This concept of health was initially developed as an initiative seeking to increase family access to healthcare. Today, it is critical in health promotion within our communities and nation. Family health assessments are critical in supporting and strengthening families to develop and grow, identify potential health risks in the unit, identify constants, and create partnerships between healthcare providers and families(Kaakinen et al., 2018). Additionally, recent research shows that families are an integral part of providing holistic and comprehensive care. Herein, I will summarize my findings following a health assessment of my selected family.

My selected family is of Asian descent. It is a family of three: father, mother, and daughter. The father (55 years) is an engineer, and the mother (53 years) a businesswoman; the daughter is 26 years and working as an accountant. They have been in the country for nearly ten years now. The daughter says that she had opted to move out two years ago, but the mother had a hard time letting her go. As the only child, the mother is attached to her. The family has a high income, which increases their access to one of the high-end neighborhoods in New York. When asked about religion, the father stated that the family is not religious, but they consider themselves to be spiritual persons…..Click link below to purchase full tutorial at $10
