Would you treat Mark’s blood pressure today?  Why or why not?

Answer: 

Mark has two known blood pressure readings >150/90.  The general rule is to have three high readings before diagnosing and treating high blood pressure as office readings can be the result of white coat syndrome.  However, Mark has a strong family history of cardiac conditions including hypertension.  Additionally, Mark does report occasional headaches which may or may not be related to high blood pressure.  Further assessment would be needed to know….purchase the full  solution at $20
